About Candice Brathwaite
Candice Brathwaite is a two-time Sunday Times bestselling author, broadcaster, keynote speaker, podcaster, and cultural commentator. She is recognised internationally for her work across publishing, media, storytelling, advocacy, and brand building.
She first rose to prominence with her landmark debut I Am Not Your Baby Mother (2020), which challenged dominant narratives around motherhood and amplified the lived experiences of Black British women. In 2024, she released Manifest(o), an instant Sunday Times bestseller cementing her position as one of the UK's most influential voices at the intersection of personal development, culture, and self-belief.
A regular face on UK television including Lorraine and Steph's Packed Lunch, Candice is known for her clarity, warmth, and cultural fluency. She founded Make Motherhood Diverse in 2017 — a campaign dedicated to broadening the stories told about parenthood. She hosts Conversations with Candice, her solo podcast which launched in 2026, and previously co-hosted Closet Confessions which amassed over 3 million downloads across 5 seasons.
